Glammy Grammys

I really pity the person sitting behind Lady GaGa at the Grammys. Worst seat ever. LMAO.

Anyway, been recovering from a mild flu over the weekend. So thankful that I've no lessons today. And my mouth ulcer's getting smaller. I should be functioning quite well for tomorrow!!! :)

I think it's the first time ever that I've managed to solve the whole Physics tutorial. I even thought it was fun. Haha.

I'Mpossible

This past week was literally sleepy. I've never slept so much in lectures before. I should probably ask someone to slap me if I ever doze off again.

Thursday's film was a German one called "Run Lola Run", which I felt was quite a repetitive film despite some thrills and twists. And did I mention the last time that I've another friend with me for this module? Well, Amanda from my JC class has joined me. Nice to have someone familiar though.

I am not looking forward to MATLAB next week. Such a waste of time.

Zzz

I have never slept in tutorials before. Today was the first time. And my eyelid kept twitching non-stop it's frigging annoying.

Gonna sleep early tonight.

Blah Blah Blah

So last Thursday's movie was John Woo's 1989 flick "The Killer" with Chow Yun Fatt. Sad ending, but the gunfight sequences were very exciting yet absolutely crazy and violent at the same time. And I didn't know that films in the past could be so cheesy and corny in certain scenes.

Friday was an aimless day like last week. We went to NIE to have our lunch but ended up eating from a stall that sells the exact same food as Canteen B. Franchise I guess. If you wanna know it was the western food stall. But I felt that the serving at NIE was reasonably larger than its counterpart in Canteen B.

Anyway, went to explore its library for a while before heading back to our own LWN library. And it was actually my very first time at NTU's library (shame on me, I know).

Now, I have to complete my maths tutorial before proceeding to do my film readings. Till next post then.

Wasted Time

Spent 5 hours in school doing nothing yesterday. Stupid timetable.

And NMR is really getting on my nerves.

Anyway, bought a new James Patterson novel from the "Michael Bennett" series. 3rd book, to be exact. This is definitely one of my favourite series from Patterson, besides the "Maximum Ride" and "Witch & Wizard" series. Feel like starting on Patricia Cornwell's "Scarpetta" series though. Sounds interesting. I just adore crime novels. Good ones.

Oz

CS119 is interesting!!! Even if we have to do readings every week and purchase a $42.80 textbook. The best part of every lecture is the film screening.

So today we watched the 1939 classic, "The Wizard of Oz". Lecturer wanted to screen the Thai martial arts movie "Chocolate" but later changed his mind. Nevertheless, "Oz" was really nice. How could I have missed out such a wonderful masterpiece? Along with Judy Garland's "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"?? I'm definitely glad that I finally watched this timeless film.

Looking forward to the next lecture already!!! :)

Back On Track

First day of the new semester wasn't that bad, except for the Biochemistry lecturer where the only words that I could make out of his lecture today was 'Textbook'. So it's something like, "gibberish mumble gibberish mumble...textbook...gibberish mumble...textbook...". I think he mentioned 'Textbook' at least 30 times so I guess he pretty much worshipped it.

The queue @ Popular was so damn frigging long that for a second I thought they were giving away freebies to students. If not for the $9.30 workbook I would have saved 30 minutes of my life.

Tomorrow is gonna be a long long day. 4 lectures worth. 0930 - 1230, 1330 - 1830. Awesome.

On the bright side, Bodoh a.k.a. Homeless Guy will be joining me for CS119! :)

Ready, Set, Go!

For me, school starts on Wednesday. So today and tomorrow are just extended holidays.

Did I mention Monday is my free day every week?

But I'm already looking forward to CNY break. Yup I just said that.

I Got It!!!

Yup, I got my elective -- "Fictional Film: From Hollywood to Bollywood". Hope I made the right choice. And cross my fingers that it's more interesting than Forensic Science.

Hey Ellen!

And a new season of American Idol starts again. The BEST thing is, they're bringing the old format back. Maybe this time I'll watch again.

And Ellen as a new addition will make the show much more interesting (and hilarious). Go Ellen!!! :D

First Movie Of The Year

Caught "Old Dogs" just now and it's really hilarious!!! This was one of those impromptu movie occasions with Jason and Sean Paul so I wasn't expecting anything, but I gotta admit that I enjoyed it. Story was predictable, acting was so-so, chemistry between Travolta and Williams was alright. All in all, I definitely had a great laugh.

Rating: 4/5

New York New York's Fiery Fish & Chips was awesome!!! The batter tasted like the one found on Goreng Pisang but the fish was really really fresh. Even Jason's ribs (not literally his) beats Cafe Cartel's. Btw it was my first time @ NYNY, and I'll just say that I'm in for a return visit.
